The Project of the WeekTM is currently the blogs section. I´ve got a load of new features in progress, and a few of them are already done. Unfortunately, it may still be a few days before all of the new features get posted over to the site. There are still a few more bugs to work out of them and a few loose ends to tie up. I'm going to try to post them over as they are completed. You can check back to this post to see what's been completed and what is still coming.
Here´s a quick rundown of the new features: (Unfinished features are marked with a *)
- Overall changes to the look & feel of the blog section
- Comments on blog entries
- Track read/unread posts
- *Email notifications of comments to your entries and replies to comments you posted
- *Email notifications of new blog entries for blogs you're subscribed to
- *Blog searches
- *Entry tags to help you organize them
- *An information packed blog home page
- *Blog categories to help you find other blogs
- *A "Start Your Own Blog" page, to help you get started
And that's just the beginning. In the next couple months, I've got many more things planned, but you'll have to wait to hear more about them. In the meantime, I will do my best to update this blog with information about new and upcoming features for the site.
