The new Feature of the WeekTM is a "friend tracker". It's still being written and hasn't actually been named yet. It will allow you to see what your friends have been up to. For example, you'll get a list of activities by your friends such as when they update their profile page, when they post a blog entry, when the upload new photos and several other things.
More details will be coming soon. It should be done and online within a couple days.
